报告摘要:

In this talk, we will show our recent advances in biomimetic catalysis for asymmetric radical reactions, aimed at addressing longstanding challenges in conventional catalytic systems. We will begin by outlining the background and highlighting the pressing need for innovative transition metal-based catalysts specifically tailored for asymmetric radical transformations. The focus will then turn to two catalytic platforms we have developed to tackle these challenges. In particular, we will highlight a highly efficient enantioselective radical process enabled by Ti(III) catalysis. Beyond our contributions to synthetic methodology, we will also discuss our parallel efforts in the design and development of smart conjugated materials with responsive and tunable properties. To conclude, our work showcases the unique potential of Ti(III)-based asymmetric catalysis in enabling difficult organic transformations that remain out of reach with existing systems. Moreover, our deep understanding of conjugated polymer chemistry has guided the development of a new generation of smart materials with significant promise in organic electronics.
